Here is a living wall. I found a disused paddling pool (filled with big rocks) in the garden when I dug it for vegetables. The sides of the pool became the sides of a raised bed and the rocks became a living wall. The mortar was fine soil mixed with water to make a stiff mix. I will include another photo as the plants grow. The first photo is the start of the building process.

And the second is of the wall about 3 weeks later. I will try to improve the resolution, it is dotted with small plants.

Now  (11th July 00) I have a big fern and some creeping thyme on it too and the native rock plants have flowered..
